Reunion Welcome letter

Welcome to the Tenth Caribou Association Reunion!

We hope this will be the best reunion yet.  We know you are going to enjoy Arizona with your old friends and the new ones you'll make here. The earliest DoubleTree Suites check-in time is 1500 hours (or 3pm civilian time) each day.  The latest checkout time on your last day is noon.

PICTURES:

One of the things that we want to do is take your picture sometime during the reunion -- hopefully at registration.  If we missed you at registration, please stop by the hospitality area and remind us to get you picture. We also hope to take a group picture sometime -- probably at the conclusion of the business meeting.  Some of these pictures will be placed on our Caribou Association website, so smile for the camera.

CHOOSE YOUR TOURS:

During the registration please confirm any tours that you wish to take as a part of our group.  If we go together to the areas of interest we can get group rates at most places.  The meeting times to depart for the tours will be posted. We will have brochures available on the various Tucson area sites of interest and maps or directions on how to drive to them.

AMARC (boneyard), TUBAC, NOGALES BUS TRIP:

The Friday bus all-day trip that will tour the Davis Monthan AMARC (boneyard), Tubac, Nogales, Mexico (lunch included), and if time allows, on the return trip stop by the San Xavier Mission.  The total cost of this trip is $43.50 per person.  Most have prepaid the $40 for the trip, but the AMARC portion was an add-on that adds-on another $3.50 per person.  Please pay for this at registration.  We have a large bus and should be able to accommodate up to six more last minute passengers.

MOTIONS for the BUSINESS MEETING:

At registration we plan to distribute known proposals or motions that will be presented in the Saturday afternoon's business meeting.  The proposals/motions are presented for your review so that you can think about them and talk with the authors and other members before the meeting.  We hope that the advance information will improve the efficiency of the meeting.  We encourage, but do not require that motions be written.  By having them written they will probably be better organized and have support information to make them better understood. Also, with them written down, they can be given to the secretary for ease of entry into the meeting record after you've made the motion.

VOLUNTEERS for the STAFF or BOARD:

Please give favorable consideration to contributing your service to the Association.  We have some positions available on both the staff and the board.  As explained in the newsletter, we do most of our business via the internet email therefore having computer and a modem is a requirement.  If you have a computer we can arrange for an email account that wouldn't cost you anything.  Please speak to any of the present association officers or board members to learn about the involvement.
